Claire Hamill

Claire Hamill began singing professionally in 1971 when she was offered a recording contract with Island Records.

Claire Hamill released her first album in 1971, called One House Left Standing’. Her next album was entitled 'October’, and was released two years later. The following year, Hamill released Stage Door Johnnies.

Abracadabra came out in 1975. She later joined forces with Wishbone Ash, recording two albums with them. In 1981 she returned to her solo career producing 4 albums to date.

Claire Hamill wrote the song 'You Take My Breath Away' which was recorded by Eva Cassidy in 2003 and became a number one album in the United States and United Kingdom.

In late 2007, Claire released a compilation album of her life's work so far, ‘The Minor Fall, The Minor Lift’ which features her favourite songs from the last 30 years.
