Plastiscines

French garage rock revival quartet the Plastiscines formed in 2004 around teenage friends Katty Besnard (guitar/vocals), Marine Neuilly (guitar), Louise Basilien (bass guitar), and Zazie Tavitian (drums). Named after a line in the Beatles' classic "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds", the band also cites the Kinks, the White Stripes, the Strokes, Blondie, and the Libertines as influences. Their major-label debut, LP1, arrived in the summer of 2007. They were right away spotted as one of the most exciting act from the new rock and roll Paris scene. Their songs are very fresh, in French and in English and their Françoise Hardy looks helped them to get a lot of buzz.

It was in 2009 that the Plasticines released their second studio album entitled 'About Love' has been highly anticipated and the media frenzy has been international...hit singles 'Barcelona', 'Bitch' and 'I am Down' have proved that the girls are full of vitality, and prove they have what it takes to stand the test of time.

Recently they have featured in the U.S hit series 'Gossip Girl' and are constantly touring around France and are hitting the UK for HMV's 'Next Big Thing' this February 2010.
