On graduating Sheppard formed two bands with his songwriting and singing skills that were both signed to EMI and SIRE respectively. During this time Shep had cause to write with other songwriters for his artistic endeavors and during this process he penned his first UK #1.

Shep finally understood where his true calling lay and focused on songwriting full time which yielded glorious results as Shep then went onto notch up 14 top 3 single positions in the UK & Europe .

With Sheps position consolidated as one of the premier lyric/melody writers in the UK & Europe he decided to focus his energies back home in the United States and proceeded to co-write and procure many cuts with a wide selection of artists such as, Kelly Clarkson & Daughtry. With Shep’s US profile rising he looked to Europe again and wrote the smash hit single “Shiver” for Natalie Imbruglia which went onto be a #1 Pan European airplay hit.

Building on his reputation as the go to guy for a great pop song Paris Hilton enlisted Sheps services to write her the critical first single, once again Shep did not disappoint and wrote the perfect, “Stars Are Blind” which managed to score a worldwide top #5 smash hit single for Shep. Sheppard has had 140 songs recorded and released worldwide.
